J'ai découvert que je pouvais faire des études d'architecture sans être obligée d'être forte en maths ou en sciences, et que ce domaine était ouvert aux femmes comme aux hommes.

Je n'ai aucune crainte concernant l'avenir, si ce n'est celle de la lâcheté. La lâcheté des gens. Car je pense que le monde est de plus en plus complexe, et d'une certaine manière, dangereux. Parce que ceux qui nous gouvernent sont trop cyniques, et que la finance est notre seule économie – elle ne produit rien. C'est vraiment dangereux, car on ne sait pas comment le monde sera gouverné à l'avenir, et en même temps, on a l'impression que les nouvelles générations, ayant vécu dans un confort relatif, manquent d'ambition. Elles pensent que l'avenir sera si compliqué qu'elles préfèrent ne pas y penser, car elles ne veulent pas être agressives, et je peux le comprendre. En même temps, cela m'inquiète, car si la jeune génération n'est pas capable de penser à l'avenir, d'affirmer vouloir construire un avenir différent, je ne veux pas vivre dans ce futur.

• (en) I am not afraid at all regarding the future, except of cowardice. the cowardice of people. because I think the world is more and more complicated, and in a way dangerous. because the people governing us are too cynical, and finance is the only economy we have – not producing anything. this is really dangerous because for the future you don’t know how the world will be governed in a way, and at the same time you have the impression that new generations, because they were living in a very comfortable situation, are not hungry enough. they think that the future will be so complicated that they won’t, they don’t want to think about it, because they don’t want to be aggressive, and I can understand that, at the same time, I am afraid of it, because if the young generation is not able to think that the future, to say that they want to build a different future, I don’t want to live in that future.
